Futures prop firm with no daily drawdown: Hero X
Hero X is the FundedHero Futures plan with no daily drawdown limit, in the evaluation or on the funded account. The only loss limit is the end-of-day trailing max drawdown.
What a daily drawdown is
A daily drawdown, often called a daily loss limit, caps how much an account can lose in a single trading day. At a typical prop firm, hitting it either ends your day or ends the account. At FundedHero Futures, where a plan has one, reaching it breaches the account immediately. It starts fresh at each 6:00 PM ET trading-day reset.
A daily limit sits on top of the max drawdown. That means two numbers to manage, and on a volatile morning the daily limit is usually the one you hit first.
Which FundedHero Futures plans have a daily drawdown
| Plan | Evaluation | Funded account |
|---|---|---|
| Hero X | None | None |
| Hero ONE and ZERO 1-Step | None | $900 to $3,500 by size |
| Hero ONE and ZERO 2-Step | None in Phase 1; $1,275 to $4,500 in Phase 2 | $1,700 to $6,000 by size |
| Hero Live | No evaluation | None on $10K and $25K; $1,200 to $3,000 from $50K |
Hero X is the only plan with no daily drawdown at any stage. Hero Live’s $10K and $25K accounts have none either, but its larger sizes do. The 1-Step evaluations and 2-Step Phase 1 also skip it, but a daily limit applies once you’re funded, and in 2-Step Phase 2.
What still protects a Hero X account
No daily limit doesn’t mean no limits. These rules still apply on Hero X:
- End-of-day trailing max drawdown. If a day closes at or below your drawdown level, the account is breached. See the amounts below.
- Contract limits. 2 minis / 20 micros on $25K, 4 / 40 on $50K, 6 / 60 on $100K and 10 / 100 on $150K, open at one time.
- Daily auto-close. Positions are closed automatically at 4:10 PM ET. There’s no overnight or weekend holding.
- The 30-Second Rule. Wait at least 30 seconds after each execution before the next on the same account. With 4 or fewer violations you receive only 25% of the eligible profit split; 5 or more breach the account and reset it to its original phase.
- Prohibited practices. High-risk “all-in at max size” setups and account cycling aren’t allowed on any plan.
- Evaluation consistency. No single day may be more than 50% of your evaluation profit, so you can’t pass on one oversized day.
| Hero X account | Evaluation max drawdown | Funded max drawdown |
|---|---|---|
| $25K | $1,250 | $1,000 |
| $50K | $2,200 | $2,000 |
| $100K | $3,300 | $3,000 |
| $150K | $4,500 | $4,500 |
No daily limit doesn’t mean more total risk. The max drawdown is your whole risk budget, and one bad day can use all of it.
Example: the same bad day on two plans
Compare two $50K funded accounts that each start the day at $50,000 with a $2,000 max drawdown, so the drawdown level is $48,000 on both:
- Hero ZERO 1-Step funded also has a $1,500 daily drawdown.
- Hero X funded has no daily drawdown.
A rough morning takes each account down $1,600, then you recover and close at $49,000.
| Hero ZERO 1-Step funded | Hero X funded | |
|---|---|---|
| $1,600 loss in the morning | Reaches the $1,500 daily limit: breached immediately | No daily limit; $48,400 is still above the $48,000 level |
| Close at $49,000 | Account already breached | Account fine, $1,000 of room left |
Now suppose the loss keeps going and you close at $47,900. That’s below the $48,000 level, so both accounts are breached. Removing the daily limit changes when a loss ends the account, not how much you can lose in total.
Who a no-daily-drawdown plan suits
Hero X tends to suit traders who:
- need room intraday, for example to sit through a volatile open or a news release (news trading is allowed);
- would rather manage one risk number than two;
- want no consistency rule once funded and a 90% split from the first payout.
It’s a weaker fit if you want the largest contract limits, or if you rely on a firm-imposed daily stop to stop trading on a bad day. In that case, set your own daily stop, or choose a plan with a daily limit built in.
Frequently asked questions
Which FundedHero Futures plan has no daily drawdown?
Hero X. It has no daily drawdown limit in the evaluation or on the funded account. Only the end-of-day trailing max drawdown applies.
Does Hero X have a daily loss limit on the funded account?
No. The Hero X funded account has no daily drawdown limit and no consistency rule. The funded max drawdown is $1,000 to $4,500, depending on account size.
What can breach a Hero X account if there’s no daily drawdown?
A trading day that closes at or below your end-of-day trailing drawdown level breaches the account. Breaking other rules can too, such as 5 or more 30-Second Rule violations or prohibited trading practices.
Do any other FundedHero Futures plans skip the daily drawdown?
Partly. The 1-Step evaluations and 2-Step Phase 1 have no daily limit, and Hero Live’s $10K and $25K accounts have none. Hero X is the only plan with no daily drawdown in both the evaluation and the funded account.
Can I trade news on a no-daily-drawdown account?
Yes. News trading is allowed, including high-impact releases like NFP, CPI and FOMC. Expect slippage and fast moves that can test your max drawdown, and size accordingly.
Examples are illustrations of how the rules work, not trade recommendations. FundedHero Futures accounts are simulated trading environments for evaluation and education, and payouts depend on following the rules. Rules can change; the official rules pages are the current reference. Futures trading involves substantial risk.
